Meet Stacy Reiber: Cannabis Edibles Helped her get off Opioid Addiction

Stacy has been successfully off opioid for two years.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story Stacy, @come_november!

I was prescribed hydrocodone for chronic headaches in 2011. Was addicted within a year. I tried quitting 3 times over 5 1/2 years.

Every time I would go back to the pills because the pain from withdrawal was so awful.

I went to Colorado when my mom got sick. I didn’t have any pills, or a connection to get pills for the 10 days I was there.

I asked my brother to get me some edibles.

When I left Colorado, I brought enough back to continue trying to get off opioids.

I had a gummy or 2 every day for 2 months. I’m proud to say that I’ve been off opioids for almost 2 years.

The best part? I was able to save my ex-step daughter the same way.

She is now 6 months clean. Marijuana saved us both.
