New Breakthrough Technologies in Vaporizing

Vaporizing is becoming more and more popular as the cannabis industry expands and people become aware of the benefits of vaping.

Vaporizing is much healthier than smoking because the plant matter never reaches combustion, so there are less toxins consumed.

You can also get more accurate temperature control, which leads to being able to aim for certain cannabinoids or flavor profiles and it allows for more discretion with minimal odors being produced.

Within this part of the expanding market, there are a lot of new technologies coming out that are revolutionizing the way the heating and consuming are accomplished.

These technologies are always evolving in numerous ways. For instance, look at Vapium focusing on simplicity and harm reductive properties.

“We are taking Vapium in a new direction – building out our core principles of engineering and design to include products beyond the Summit series that are reliable and refined. The first in this direction is the LITE(r). We considered three main factors when designing the LITE: price, harm reductive materials and simplicity. We have built a medical quality vaporizer (ISO13485) that isn’t price prohibitive. The clean air intake manifold and removable crumb drawer ensures that clean air is drawn through and not past internal electronics to be mixed with your vapor. Three buttons, ON/OFF and Temp Up and Temp Down with laser marked intuitive Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature display to optimize for your flavor preference.

Consumers need to demand better quality and harm reductive products- this is what we are anticipating and how we are answering this call.“ — Lisa Harun, Co-Founder & CMO, Vapium

We can also hear from DaVinci on precision accuracy for temperature control to allow for smaller doses to be consumed easily and reliably.

“Vaporizer technology, much like the user demographic is rapidly evolving. Users are demanding more than a product that gets hot and produces vapor; but does so with precision accuracy and controllability, has an intuitive interface, and can double as a status symbol based on aesthetics. At DaVinci, we’ve taken all of this into account with the DAVINCI IQ. Now, with a more diversified user base emerging due to the increased adoption of cannabis, we are beginning to see a trend where people want to be able to essentially micro-dose with cannabis throughout the day.

Our response to this is to offer the DAVINCI MIQRO, which allows the user to adjust the chamber volume, and at the upmost discretion, in a small form factor.” Shauntel Ludwig, Vice President of Operations, DaVinci

We also have innovating technology, like water filtration, coming to vaporizers on the market.

“Hydrology9 was our first creation and considerable time was put into it to make it stand out. We started with lots of direction, but eventually settled with a dedicated “portable water filtration” vaporizer, a segment which we believe was under served. Starting from a unique direction also allows us to think completely outside the box and break the mold of traditional vaporizers, which we believe borrowed too much of the appearance and element from E-Cig vaporizers. The result was a vaporizer that looks and vapes completely different the rest. It was a risky move, especially as our first product – because we didn’t know if the segment was large enough or not, nor do we know if customer would accept the unique appearance when everyone was racing to make the next smallest PAX.

We believe Hydrology9 shows that if you stick with being original and serve a segment of the market well, the customer will appreciate it and give you a place in this industry.” — Richard Huang, CEO, Cloudious9

As one can see, there are a number of new technologies coming out that are transforming the vaporizer industry.

We can only imagine the products that will be coming out over the next few months and years.
