Firefly 2+ Review: Solid Convection Vaporizer

The Firefly 2+ is a convection vaporizer that packs some impressive features into a small and discreet package.

If you smoke flower, you know that there are a lot more than glassware options out there these days.

I remember being blown away the first time I saw a Volcano vaporizer – the notion of controlling the heating of buds for a different effect was a real game changer.

Now that power has been downsized into a compact, portable vaporizer.

It’s becoming commonplace for electronic devices to lean on the cell phone the user more than likely has with them for control, and the Firefly 2+ is no exception.

Below are some of the features of the Firefly 2+

  • 3 Second Heat-Up Time
  • High-Performance Dynamic Convection Heating Technology
  • Innovative New Airflow System
  • Breath Activation
  • Dual Touch Sensors
  • Free iOS & Android Mobile App
  • Easy To Load & Clean
  • Longest Firefly Battery Life Ever

With a temperature range of 200-500 degrees Fahrenheit, this wide range of control is available at the swipe of a finger.

The compact design has a variable size chamber bowl covered with a magnetic lid.

It holds the Firefly together and your bud in place securely, allowing for it to be slipped into a pocket without having to finish the bud in one sitting.

This isn’t something you’d smoke out your buddies with though, it’s meant for flower users who want a portable device for personal use.

You can use it for two, but you might find yourself needing to clean it out between uses.

It holds enough charge to take with you for the day and with a little practice you can palm it easily enough to look like any other vaping device. The charger is portable, sleek and easy to use. It doesn’t take a lot of space.

In addition, the batteries are replaceable, so if you have spare batteries of the type it uses (especially useful if you’re coming from a previous Firefly device) you can use them to extend your use without charging.

It also recharges pretty quickly, half an hour will get it to 90% if you’re in a hurry.

Air flow is a little restricted, but given the form factor that isn’t really a downside as much as it is a side effect of having an adjustable vaporizer that’s as small as the Firefly.firefly

The other thing worth remarking on is the construction of the unit. It feels really solid in the hand and the magnetic lid is very strong. Every piece of it feels very well-built. To learn more or buy, head on over to vapor.com.
